Doddlecast for Kids, by Zinc Roe, is everything it’s touted to be and more! Not sure what has taken us so long to promote the wonders of this app. It is a gem and though it says ages 3-5, we’ve seen big kids who can’t put it down. Warren Bucklietner wrote back in December in his Children’s Technology Review, “For young children, this app turns the iPad screen into a creativity space where sounds and drawing can be mashed into the same project seamlessly.” Don’t think there is a better way to describe Doddlecast for Kids than that… Brilliantly, this app allows kids to draw and record simultaneously. They can then watch their creation played back by simply hitting the done button, and then save it – if they like. It’s that simple!
Doodlecast Pro followed shortly, which makes all the sense in the world. It is by far one of the easiest ways to create presentations on your iPad. The app records your voice as you draw to create quick presentations. Doodlecast Pro saves videos to the camera roll making it easy to import them into popular video editors or presentation tools such as iMovie, Keynote, or iBooks Author. Perfect for teachers, students, business people and anyone needing an elegant way to share ideas.
Features:
• Multiple brush and pointer styles
• Control over colours, line weight and opacity
• Import custom background artwork
• Multiple undo and redo
• Save directly to your photo album
• Sharing via e-mail and YouTube
Doodlecast Pro helps you create and share videos for a wide range of purposes. It’s great for teachers to prepare lessons to share with their students or vice versa. Probably our favorite use for it, is as a student presentation tool. Although it could be used by any number of businesses for many different purposes. Both Doodlecast for Kids and Doodlecast Pro can save your creations to your Photos app for easy review & sharing at a later time and videos can be uploaded to YouTube easily.

Hi,
I’ve installed Doddlecast for Kids on my iPad after i read your recommendation and it is definitely one of our top apps! My 5 year old just found a “new friend”. He enjoys so much watching his videos after drawing things people, houses and cars.
Thanks for the recommendation!
