In response to your request for more student accountability, we are in the process of adding a score reporting module to each of our Full Version Apps. Some app upgrades have already been approved by Apple and those will update on your devices shortly. Others will be available in the coming weeks. The score reporting module is a FREE upgrade to your app and will email a report of the student’s session to the teacher’s email address.

Auryn Inc. is teaming up with Librarians Without Borders (LWB) for a second year as the premier sponsor during their service project in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. LWB has been supporting the Asturias Academy school library there since 2009. While LWB is in Quetzaltenango from May 3rd-13th, Auryn will donate $1, for every app sold, towards LWBs mission, which is to improve access to information resources in developing regions regardless of language, geography, or religion.

ClassConnect is a brilliant new solution for teachers using technology and media to stay organized! Teachers, RUN, don’t walk, you need this NOW! Last week I stumbled upon a video of a young guy explaining how he “built” this program while in high school. His teacher asked him, “What would it take to get you interested in school?” His response evolved into this Learning Management System. This week I started using ClassConnect and found myself with a few questions. Slightly confused as to where my saved URL’s ended up I decided to call the 800 number on the sidebar of the ClassConnect site. Who answered? That same young guy from the video… that would be Eric. He walked me through the basics and we conversed at length. The conversation concluded with me thanking him for such an incredible tool!
ClassConnect enables the user to easily store all of their online content in one convenient place. They compare themselves to a online flash-drive. And,the really great news is, it’s easy! This program also allows you to create content. Live Lectures can improve your existing PowerPoints or let you put together your own presentations using websites, games, quizzes, and other interactive materials. Easy to make and easier to share, which make ClassConnect even more valuable. Questions, homework or project guidelines can be posted if you choose to use the class pages. What an incredible way to collaborate with your students and experience learning in a 21st century way.
We have just been introduced to a wonderful new resource we’d like to share. Smartphones 101 is a website dedicated to helping people understand and use their Smartphone and/or Tablet to their utmost capabilities. We especially found the the All About Apps page very useful.
